Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about our sustainable hosiery

What makes Swedish Stockings sustainable?

We produce our hosiery from pre and post-consumer nylon waste, utilizing emission-free production processes and recycled water to minimize our environmental footprint.

How should I care for my stockings to make them last?

To extend the life of your hosiery, we recommend hand washing or using a delicate cycle at 30°C in a Guppyfriend wash bag, and always air drying.

Do you have a recycling program?

Yes, our Recycling Club accepts old stockings from any brand. We grind them down to create fiberglass tanks and other industrial products to keep them out of landfills.

How do I find my correct size?

Please refer to the size guide on each product page, which uses your height and weight to ensure the perfect fit and prevent snagging.

What is the difference between Denier (DEN) ratings?

Denier refers to the thickness and opacity of the yarn. 20DEN is sheer, while 60DEN and above are opaque and provide more warmth.

Are your dyes eco-friendly?

Absolutely. We use vegan-friendly, non-toxic dyes and ensure that all water used in the dyeing process is purified before being released.
